How to use a photo as your venue background

Seat Puzzle supports importing your own venue background from an image.

If the event floorplan looks black after adding a venue background, open the venue editor and check the background image and floor color. A dark venue image, black background color, or device dark mode can make the planner appear darker than expected.

  1. From your event, tap “Edit event” to open the event editor.
  2. Tap “Venue layout & background” to open the venue editor.
  3. Tap “Use a photo template for your floor plan” to open a picker to select a photo from your library.
  4. Enter the real-life width of your floor plan template. For example, your photo may represent 80ft of space. The height will be calculated automatically based on your photo dimensions.
