Set the venue footprint
Enter the room dimensions and represent doors, walls, and fixed features. Include an existing venue image as a background when useful.
Try the table arrangement
Place round or rectangular tables, then add any head table, stage, and buffet. Adjust the layout while reviewing the whole room.
Assign guests and share
Add the guest list, name the tables, and assign seats. Share the event with collaborators or export the floor plan for setup.

Round tables for smaller groups
Rounds create separate groups within the room. Place them with the head table or presentation area in mind, then review how guests and servers will move between them. Adjust the furniture dimensions to match what the venue supplies.
Long tables for a shared-table feel
Rectangular tables can create parallel rows, smaller dining clusters, or a long-table arrangement. Include any one-sided head table in the design rather than treating it as a standard guest table. The native apps’ custom table style helps with specific seat configurations.
Include service before calling the plan finished
A buffet, beverage station, and service access can change where tables belong. Add those areas early and discuss the layout with the catering and venue teams. Once the arrangement is agreed, name the tables consistently before assigning your guests.

Can I mix round and rectangular tables?
Yes. Place different table types in the same floor plan and adjust their size and position for your arrangement.
Can I calculate how many tables I need?
Use Seat Puzzle’s table budget planner for an initial table-count estimate, then build the actual room layout. A count alone does not account for service areas or the space between furniture.
Can I make a head table with seats on one side?
